google 2001

have you seen how google put a link to their old index on the homepage?

it was from january 2001, when they only had only one million or so websites in the index

it's kind of beautiful when you search for "september 11th" and there's nothing about the attacks

or search "sarah palin", or "american idol"

and get

nothing..
